OBJECTIVES
- Analyze reservoir data and evaluate characteristic reservoir parameters.
- Comprehend basic concepts of reservoir simulation.
- Design reservoir studies, construct reservoir models, and execute history matching and prediction of reservoir performance.
- Interpret simulation results and conduct economic feasibility studies so as to select a suitable development plan.
- Understand the basics of modern reservoir engineering such as geo statistics.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Reservoir engineers.
Geologists, geophysicists, and engineers other than reservoir engineers with more than 5-years experience in petroleum exploration/production and the basic knowledge of reservoir engineering are also accepted.
COURSE OUTLINE
- Responsibilities will include pressure transient analysis (oil and gas wells)
- Datum wells pressure data management.
- Developed Deviation Surveys database and well-lateral history ( include well-lateral directional surveys, casing, perforation, formation picks, faults, losses, MDT points, Image Logs Interpretation, well drilling and WO history).
- Responsible for the Production Business Plan Information Support, development and support associated with Oil Field Assets.
- Implementation of data warehouse for Geology and Reservoir department.
- Implementation of “Openwork’s” (SGI platform) & “Geographic” software by Landmark.
- Compilation of Work over activities performance report.
- Team Leader of the group that maintained software support (approximately 20 specialized applications in Geology and Engineering departments).
- Well data analysis (well performance, WO planning/scheduling, production efficiency estimation after WO).
- Data preparation and Business Plan Development.
- Automation of the well procedures fulfillment calculation (plan-actual).
- Production calculation based on drilling, work over activities and base production estimation.
- Short term and long term production plan compilation.
- Monitor daily production and lifted volumes.
- Identify the reasons for production change and highlight them to Production Department.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production reports.
- Supervision on the geological maps archive for the Company.
- Maintained all Geological and Petroleum Engineering Databases.
- Conducted Work over activities performance report.
- Participated in preparation of the Budget and Business Plan Development.
- Created automation of the well procedures fulfillment calculation (plan-actual).
- Implemented the electronic documentation archive for the Geology and Engineering departments (containing oil field development plans, reserves calculations, regulatory, analytic-research reports).
- Created the General Information System “Field – Office”.
- Performed migration “Openwork’s” software from SGI to Linux platform (server-database and workstations).
- Linux system administration (Openwork’s DB and Applications server + 7 workstations).
- Writing formalized requirements and proposals, obtaining approval.
- Responsible for all E&P data & application related updates and upgrades to provide Reservoir & Production specialists with the latest patches.
- Provide technical advice, guidance, and support during the analysis and selection of new systems.
- Integrate E&P applications and workflows to optimum level, taking into account the requirements of the Software Company and corporative standards.
