INTRODUCTION

Care of the environment is a matter which concerns us all, whether on a personal, business, national or global level. Organizations today are under increasing pressure to demonstrate that they do not pursue profit at the expense of the environment. Organizations in all sectors of industry and public life are experiencing increasing ethical, legal and commercial pressure to manage their businesses in a demonstrably responsible manner and in compliance with all of the appropriate legislative, regulatory and “other” requirements expected of them in today’s society. Our course are designed to provide Managers and staff with the knowledge of Environmental legislation, their responsibilities and best practice. The course also provide an understanding of how to put these “requirements” into practice in the workplace.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This course is a FIVE days course for all those involved in construction work in the planning stage – clients, developers, designers, CDM co-ordinators, principle contractors, contractors, health and safety managers, regulators and local authorities. Those with project planning responsibilities need to be trained to a level that will enable them to assist at the planning stage of construction projects and in techniques for the implementation of environmental best practice on construction projects.
