OBJECTIVES

  • To provide a framework for HAZOP within risk assessment and HSE Management System.
  • To review the role of HAZOP within projects HSE plan.
  • To increase familiarity with HAZOP protocol, logic, structure and methodology.
  • To describe the role and structure of the HAZOP Team and procedures.
  • To introduce the role, responsibilities and conduct of HAZOP Team Leader.
  • To provide sufficient hands-on experience in the application of HAZOP to different processes and systems
  • To appreciate the application of HAZOP methodology in other areas of interest, e.g. human reliability and human hazop .
  • To appreciate the consequences of flammable/toxic releases, fire and explosion- dispersion modelling

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This seminar is primarily designed to meet the needs of potential HAZOP Team Leaders and Secretaries, to provide them with the necessary skills and framework to guide the HAZOP team members through the initial stages of the analysis to the production of a HAZOP report and action plan.

This course is also aimed at all personnel involved in the process of risk assessment drawn from every level of process operations, production, design, maintenance and health & Safety.
