COURSE OUTLINE

Day 1

  • History of Slickline
  • Well Completion – Theory
  • Slickline Units and Powerpacks (Zones) – Theory
  • Weight and Depth indicators – Theory
  • The Wire (Type -Tests – Log Books) –
  • Pressure Control Equipment (What must be controlled)
  • Barrier Principles
  • Shut-in Procedures

Day 2

  • Basic Toolstring Components / Up-stroke Jars
  • Basic Service & Remedial Tools
  • Running and Pulling Tools
  • Locks, Standing Valves and Landing Nipples – Theory
  • Running – Setting – Equalizing & Pulling process – Theory

Day 3

  • Gas Lift theory
  • Set and retrieve Gas Lift valves
  • SCSSV’s theory
  • Plugs (PX plug setting and pulling)
  • RIH Set and Retrieve FB-2 Baker 2.75″

Day 4

  • Practical training including access to actual well

Day 5

  • Memory gauges, Types and Classification
  • Memory gauges Sensor types.
  • Memory gauges Programming and Executing
  • Appraisal’s
